Grown Folks’ Fables
We begin with new versions of old stories, the kind passed down from oral storytelling traditions, the ones that we still have today because people kept telling them and talking about them--the two sides of the Make-Believe production model.
Our season finale bends the rules: a rarely experienced one-act by Lorraine Hansberry, the great Chicago dramatist, that she subtitled “A Fable”.
